How the test works
Verify that common keys are detected and released correctly. Press keys one by one; the on-screen board records each input.
How the score is calculated
The score is the number of distinct keyboard keys the browser recognized at least once during the test.
Measurement limits
Keyboard Tester is a diagnostic tool rather than a speed contest. Press keys across every row and modifier group to find inputs that are missing, stuck or mapped unexpectedly. For rollover checks, press deliberate combinations; browser shortcuts can intercept some keys, so a missing event does not always prove hardware failure.

The method uses Pointer Events, Keyboard Events and the monotonic Performance API clock. Content is reviewed by CPS-TEST.ONLINE editors.
