How the test works

Choose the correct action for one of several signals. Match the shown symbol to the corresponding button or key.

How the score is calculated

Reaction time is the median of the valid measured delays from the presented signal to the first accepted response, reducing the effect of one unusually fast or slow trial.

Measurement limits

Choice Reaction is slower by design than simple reaction because the signal must be classified before the correct response is selected. Accuracy is part of the task; guessing can create a fast time but a poor decision score. Compare runs with the same number of choices, since more alternatives increase decision load.
