How the test works
Press the requested key as soon as it appears. Wait for the prompt and press only the displayed key.
How the score is calculated
Reaction time is the median of the valid measured delays from the presented signal to the first accepted response, reducing the effect of one unusually fast or slow trial.
Measurement limits
Reaction Key Test removes mouse travel from the task and measures how quickly you can respond with a keyboard press after the signal. Use one chosen finger and keep it resting naturally near the key without preloading the switch. Compare the median of several valid trials rather than the single fastest response.
