How the test works
Decide whether a color name matches the displayed ink color. Answer match or mismatch as quickly and accurately as possible.
How the score is calculated
Points equal 100 for each correct hit minus 50 for each miss, with the final score never allowed below zero.
Measurement limits
Color Match creates interference between the written color name and the ink color, so the task tests selective attention as much as reaction speed. Read the rule before each run and answer from the requested feature only. A fast response with many conflicts misread is less useful than a slightly slower, consistent score.
