What polling rate changes
Higher rates can reduce the interval between reports and improve pointer smoothness. The visible benefit depends on the full input path.
What it does not guarantee
A high number on the box does not guarantee higher CPS. Switch debounce and technique may be the dominant factors.
How to compare
Keep the same USB port, power mode, browser and test duration. Change one setting at a time.
